How long have you been a photographer
I started working for another photographer in June 2006, with absolutely no prior experience. I worked as a second shooter for him at weddings before leaving to start up on my own in January 2009.
Are you insured
Yes I have Public Liability up to and Professional Indemnity up to
Who will shoot our wedding
What if you’re ill
To date, I have never had to arrange cover for a wedding. However, I am only human! I am part of several large and active groups of wedding photographers covering the UK; If I were to be unable to shoot your wedding, I would put out an SOS in these groups and someone would be able to step in. I’ve seen it happen for other photographers who have been in a sticky situation, so I have every faith that I could arrange cover.
Do you shoot formal family group shots and detail shots
Of course! Though I don’t go overboard on either of them. My main aim is to record your day as a photojournalist, so I dedicate more time to photographing the goings on than setting things up.
I recommend no more than 8-10 group shots to keep the day running smoothly.
As for details, I always find time to shoot the dress/shoes/table decoration etc.
And some detail shots here
What if it rains
This one’s easy – we take pictures regardless! We either embrace the rain, and use umbrellas/wellies/sheltered spots etc. or we make use of the interior space of the venue. I love using flash to create interesting lighting, and sometimes playing around inside the venue can create more striking shots than can be had outside.
How long do you stay on a wedding day
Usually around 12 hours. I tend to start at 10.30am and finish at 10.30pm as a rough guide. All days are different though, and I will discuss this with you before hand.
How do we book
It’s easy and can all be done online! Once you’ve been in touch with me, I will setup a client booking page for you and email you the link. From here, you can view prices and options, select the package you want to go with, fill in some initial details, sign an electronic contract and pay your deposit. Just so you know, the deposit is £300. To confirm your date with me, the deposit must be paid and the contract signed.
Do you need fed
That would be lovely! Thanks!
How long does it take to get our photos
I always try to get a preview of a few images to you in the week after the wedding. Your full gallery will take longer, and in busy season can take up to 8 weeks.
How many images do we get
Usually around 1000, all fully edited and ready to print
